Description: Escape Velocity is a platformer that takes place entirely on a Rail Grind. You must escape the Earth Exploding and make it on the last elevator to the moon society. This was made for a game jam that we ran for the Game Development Club, and the theme was "End of the World."

Objectives
- Make a level that focuses on "Being Cool"
- Use dynamic in-game cutscenes and camera angles to reinforce "Being Cool"

Level Design Ideas
- The game's intention was to be more form over function. There are very light platforming sections that are emphasized by obstacles on the path or broken railings to keep the player invested.
- Yes I am aware it is physically impossible for Fire to be in space, however I think it makes the level look more dramatic and more fun to look at so I decided to forego the "realism" and put it in the game.
- Branching paths because it is "more fun"
